The Russian authorities had declared K.D.M., born in 1980, wanted due to suspicions of fraud amounting to 8 million 346 thousand rubles. According to the investigation, he had been hiding in the Issyk-Kul region, using a passport issued under a different name, which belongs to a citizen of Kyrgyzstan.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that a verification of the legality of obtaining this document is currently underway.
The detention was made possible thanks to close cooperation with law enforcement agencies from other countries.
