In connection with the detention of Nurlan Nartaev, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic issued an official statement.
Nurlan Nartaev holds the position of head of the department for interaction with chamber members and has the status of vice-president. His responsibilities include working with existing chamber members, attracting new participants, and collaborating with the committees of the CCI of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The press service of the CCI of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasized: “The detention of Nurlan Nartaev has no relation to his activities in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and to the work of the Chamber itself and its divisions.”
We remind you that earlier, the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (GKNB) announced information about the detention in Talas of the vice-president of the CCI N.N.E., the head of the department of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports B.Z.B., as well as the former deputy governor of the Talas region B.N.A. in a case regarding the conclusion of a deliberately disadvantageous contract.
As part of the preparations for the "I am a Champion" sports games to be held in the summer of 2026 in the Talas region, the Department of Physical Culture and Sports was allocated 17 million 500 thousand soms. However, a large part of this amount — 12 million soms — was used by responsible officials of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports to purchase a residential house, which was subsequently intended to become the administrative building of the regional department of physical culture and sports.
Moreover, the cost of this residential house was inflated to 12 million 343 thousand soms with the involvement of the vice-president of the CCI N.N.E.
