Starting from November 12, a new facility for the incineration and disposal of fallen livestock remains has opened in the rural district of Kyzyl-Suu, located in the Jeti-Oguz region, reports Turmush correspondent.

The crematorium is situated one kilometer from the foothills of the mountains.

According to local authorities, the new facility will incinerate animal remains while adhering to all environmental and sanitary standards.

The construction was made possible thanks to the support of one of the funds and financing from the local budget, with a total amount of 2,200,000 soms, of which 200,000 soms were allocated from the district budget.

These measures aim to ensure veterinary safety, prevent infectious diseases, and maintain sanitary order. Additionally, the facility will be able to provide incineration services for other rural districts on a contractual basis.

As reported by the head of the district veterinary department, over the past 10 months, more than 800 stray dogs have been shot and buried in the Bekkari pits in this area. Now, the new crematorium can process up to 1 ton of biological waste per hour.

Similar facilities are already operating in the Jeti-Oguz and Ton districts, as well as in Karakol.
The crematorium is an incinerator—a special furnace where biological waste, such as carcasses of fallen animals, remains after veterinary procedures, and contaminated materials are incinerated and neutralized at high temperatures.

Key functions of the crematorium:

• complete destruction of dangerous microorganisms;
• prevention of the spread of infections among humans and animals;
• replacement of burial in Bekkari pits, which is a more environmentally friendly option;
• operation at high temperatures, resulting in remains being turned into harmless ash.
