The Global Fact-Checking Network (GFCN) faced the blocking of its account on the Zoom platform immediately after two organized webinars. Representatives of the association did not receive detailed explanations from the service, only information about a "violation of rules." This was reported by TASS.

The association conducted these webinars with the support of UNESCO to educate participants on the principles of fact-checking.

From the blocked account, two educational webinars took place on November 25 and December 2: "Practical Fact-Checking" and "How AI Shapes a New Reality, Blurring the Line Between Truth and Fake." They gathered over 700 participants from different corners of the world. However, the events scheduled for December 9 and 12, which were also supposed to attract an international audience, had to be urgently moved to other platforms.
