At the meeting, the committee discussed the draft general plan for the development of Bishkek until 2050.
In the summer of 2025, it became known that the building located on Abdumomunov Street was removed from the list of historical and cultural monuments. This decision was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
This object was built in the early 1950s. It was initially planned to be used for a party school, but later it housed the highest governmental bodies of the country. Since the 1960s, the building functioned as the Central Committee of the Communist Party and the Council of Ministers, and in the 1990s — the Jogorku Kenesh. After 2010, it was transferred to the government.
Currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce are located in this building.
