On the night of January 6 to 7, a solemn service dedicated to the Nativity of Christ took place at the Holy Resurrection Cathedral in Bishkek. The liturgy was led by Bishop Savvaty, who represents Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan.

On this significant day, which fills the souls of believers with light, the church was full of parishioners who came to share the joy of Christmas and worship the Savior. The prayer united people of different ages gathered around the manger of Christ.

During the service, the Christmas message of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Rus' was announced, addressed to all Orthodox believers, as well as a message from Metropolitan Vikentiy, who heads the Central Asian Metropolitan District.
In his address to the parishioners, Bishop Savvaty emphasized that the Nativity of Christ is not just a day in the church calendar, but an event that should illuminate the life of every Christian.
- Christmas should be celebrated not once a year, but every day, reviving Jesus Christ in our hearts and bringing Him a sacrifice of thanksgiving, prayer, and service, - he urged the faithful.
Bishop Savvaty also noted that the joy of Christmas is accessible to every person in this life, calling on everyone to fill the holiday with acts of love and mercy.
- We can rejoice here and now – with spiritual and soulful joy. In the holy days of Christmas, it is important to glorify Christ: some through hymns, some through good deeds, - he added.
In his sermon, the archpastor reminded of the shepherds and the Magi who came to worship the Infant Christ, and urged not to waste the festive days on vanity, but to fill them with spiritual content.
Special attention was given by the bishop to the theme of active love and helping those in need. He reminded of the charitable initiatives implemented in the diocese and the importance of personal responsibility of every believer to help those who are in need.
- The Lord served people in the simplest of deeds. And we can continue this service through various forms of assistance that are available not only during the holidays but also every day of our lives, - he emphasized.
