In Kyrgyzstan, the number of breeding farms has reached 185

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan reported positive results achieved thanks to state support and breeding work in the field of livestock breeding.

Currently, there are 185 breeding farms operating in the country, covering all key areas of animal husbandry and contributing to the activation of the economy in rural areas.

Number of breeding farms for cattle – 66

Total number: 8,406 heads

Breeding sheep farms – 75

Total number: 24,759 heads

Breeding horse farms – 35

Total number: 1,725 heads

Breeding goat farms – 5

Total number: 2,704 heads

Breeding farms for yaks – 5

Total number: 1,224 heads

Breeding poultry farms – 2, with a total number of birds exceeding 281 thousand heads.

“These figures highlight the importance of breeding livestock for ensuring the country's food security and enhancing its export potential,” the statement emphasizes.
