In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, monitoring of prices for socially significant food products, including beef and lamb, continues. This information was provided by the press service of the city hall.
Inspections are being conducted in accordance with the decree of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce dated August 7, 2025, which pertains to the temporary state regulation of prices for meat products (including boneless beef and lamb).
As part of the control, the administrations of the Sverdlovsky, Pervomaisky, Leninsky, and Oktyabrsky districts, together with representatives of the antimonopoly service, veterinary and tax services, as well as other authorized bodies, regularly organize raids and monitoring at markets and retail outlets in the city.

The inspections cover markets such as "Osh Bazaar," "Orto-Sai," "Alamedin," "Dordoy," "Aziz," as well as retail chains "Market," "Globus," "Asia," and other trading facilities.
During the monitoring, explanatory work is carried out with entrepreneurs and sellers, emphasizing the inadmissibility of unjustified price increases and the necessity of adhering to the established maximum retail prices. Special attention is paid to ensuring that the price per kilogram of beef and lamb does not exceed 680 soms.
Proposals are also being considered to expand the trade in meat products at affordable prices, including the allocation of trading spaces without intermediaries and the opening of additional retail points.
Due to the cessation of wholesale meat trading at the Osh market, a new meat pavilion named "Chuygun" has opened at the livestock market "Altyn-Taka."
This pavilion is intended for wholesale meat sales and fully complies with all sanitary and veterinary requirements.
Retail meat sales are conducted in the same area at the pavilion "Taza Adal Et," where residents can purchase quality and safe products.

Current wholesale prices for meat:
- Lamb — 640–680 soms;
- Beef — 640–680 soms;
- Horse meat — 540–560 soms.
Retail prices start from 660 soms. Regular raids and price monitoring continue.
