At the moment, the government of Kyrgyzstan has not made a final decision regarding the extension of state regulation of meat prices. This information was announced by Muratbek Imankulov, head of antimonopoly regulation at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, during his speech on "Birinchi Radio."

It should be noted that temporary price regulation for beef and lamb was introduced in response to the rise in their costs and was supposed to remain in effect until the end of December 2025. The Ministry of Economy has already established maximum (ceiling) prices for meat products across all regions of the country.

Imankulov explained that the introduction of maximum prices prohibits the sale of meat at higher rates.

In particular, in the capital, Bishkek, the price limits for beef are set at 680 soms per kilogram, while for lamb, it is 670 soms.

He also added that the issue of extending state price regulation remains open for now.
