In Bishkek, regular monitoring of prices for socially significant products, including beef and lamb, is carried out, as reported by the city municipality.

This monitoring is conducted in accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic dated August 7, 2025, under number 140, concerning temporary state regulation of prices for meat (including beef and lamb, excluding boneless meat).

The administrations of the Sverdlovsk, Pervomaisky, Lenin, and Oktyabrsky districts, together with representatives of the antimonopoly service, veterinary service, tax authorities, and other authorized structures, conduct regular raids and monitoring at markets and trading points in the city.

The inspections cover markets such as "TRK Osh Bazaars," "Orto-Sai," "Alamedin," "Dordoy," "Aziz," as well as trading networks Markety, Globus, Asia, and other trading facilities.

During the monitoring, entrepreneurs are informed about the rules against unjustified price increases and the requirements to comply with established maximum retail prices, with a particular emphasis on the maximum price of beef and lamb, which should not exceed 680 soms per kilogram.

Additionally, possibilities for expanding the trade of meat products at social prices are being considered, including the allocation of trading spaces without intermediaries and the opening of new sales points.

As of January 14, 2026, wholesale meat trading at the Osh market has ceased, and a new wholesale pavilion "Chuygun," which meets sanitary and veterinary requirements, has begun operations at the "Altyn-Taka" livestock market. Currently, wholesale meat trading is conducted there.

Retail sales continue at the "Taza Adal Et" pavilion in the same area, where residents can purchase quality and safe meat products.

All meat trading points from the Osh market have fully moved to the "Altyn-Taka" market. The "Chuygun" pavilion offers meat at both wholesale and retail prices.

The current wholesale prices are: lamb — 640–680 soms, beef — 640–680 soms, horse meat — 540–560 soms, while retail prices start from 660 soms.

Price monitoring and raids are conducted on a regular basis.
