Starting from January 14, 2026, wholesale meat trading at the Osh market will no longer take place. In the future, meat purchases in the capital will be conducted at the new meat pavilion "Chuygun," which is located on the territory of the livestock market "Altyn-Taka" in the Maevka area. This information was announced by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The changes were initiated as part of the implementation of a special resolution by the country's cabinet of ministers aimed at ensuring compliance with veterinary and phytosanitary standards. These measures are intended to ensure the safety and high quality of meat products for consumers.
The new pavilion "Chuygun" has an area of 800 square meters and meets all sanitary and hygienic requirements. It includes:
- an office and laboratory for the veterinary service;
- a quarantine storage for meat;
- a cold storage room of 90 square meters;
- other service premises.
