Every day, over 200 people gather at the new bird market in Osh, offering a wide range of domestic birds and animals.

Traders note that the highest number of buyers comes on Sundays, when many city residents head to the market for shopping.

Here are the current prices at the market:

- turkey — from 3,000 to 4,500 soms;

- chicken — from 500 to 1,000 soms;

- rooster — from 900 to 3,000 soms;

- large (fighting) rooster — from 8,000 to 12,000 soms;

- rabbit — from 500 to 4,000 soms;

- pigeon — from 500 to 3,000 soms.

Additionally, the market offers services for slaughtering and processing birds: processing a chicken costs 100 soms, while a turkey costs 200 soms.
Recently, information appeared on social media that domestic birds at the bird market in Osh were being slaughtered and processed right in a trash-filled area.

It later became clear that the functioning bird market, located at the old central market of Osh, will be moved to a new location.

According to information from the city hall, the new market will be located not far from the current site — on the territory where the livestock market used to be. It is guaranteed that all necessary conditions for sellers and buyers will be created at the new site, and sanitary standards will be fully adhered to.
