According to information presented by the presidential representative in the region, an active application of winter moisture-charging irrigation technology using freezing was initiated at the recent meeting.
Azmat Osmonov, the presidential envoy in the Chuy region, noted that this approach contributes to increased moisture accumulation in the soil and rational use of water resources, which in turn reduces the risk of water shortages during active irrigation work. He emphasized the importance of widespread application of this method, especially in areas with limited water resources. Authorities are called upon to intensify explanatory work and support the practical implementation of this irrigation method.
Previously, reservoirs and basins regulating daily and decadal water flows were inspected. Specialists from the presidential envoy's office assessed the technical condition and filling levels of these facilities, as well as their readiness for the upcoming growing and irrigation season. During the inspection, technical deficiencies in the operation of hydraulic structures and issues related to outdated infrastructure were identified. The need to update certain elements of the water supply system was also highlighted.
As a result of the inspection, district akims were instructed to eliminate technical deficiencies, carry out modernization and updates of reservoirs, and prepare budget documentation for the construction and restoration of water intake wells.
Regional authorities emphasize that the condition of water management facilities directly affects the stability of the agricultural sector, so these issues require timely and systematic solutions. The implementation of these instructions and the preparation of necessary documents will be monitored.
