Traffic is open and there are no restrictions on the mountain passes of Kyrgyzstan
On January 26, 2026, it was reported that traffic is open on key mountain passes and road routes in Kyrgyzstan, and no restrictions have been established. This information was provided by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Free passage is ensured on the passes of Too-Ashuu, Ala-Bel, and Kok-Bel along the Bishkek — Osh road, as well as on the Otmok pass on the Taraz — Talas — Suusamyr route. In addition, the Dolon and Kyzyl-Bel passes on the Bishkek — Naryn — Torugart route are also accessible. In the At-Bashinsky district, the Ak-Beyit, Tuz-Bel, and Torugart passes, as well as the section of road from Tyup to Kegen, are open.

The road services continue to actively clear the roads of snow drifts, apply sand-salt mixtures, and widen the shoulders.

The Ministry of Transport urges drivers, especially those planning long trips, to follow the traffic rules and exercise special caution on winter roads.
