
As of 11:00 on January 2, the Ministry of Transport of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that all major passes in the country are open for vehicle traffic.
According to the agency, clear weather is observed at the Töö-Ashuu, Sööк, Chоң-Ashuu, Dolon, Char, Ak-Beyit, and Kubak passes, as well as in the Boom Gorge, where traffic is moving without any restrictions. The road at the Ötmäk pass on the Suusamyr–Talas–Taraz route is also open.
The Ministry noted that road service agencies are regularly working to ensure safety on the roads.
Drivers are advised to take winter conditions into account, use winter tires, carry necessary tools, and strictly follow traffic rules.
