The GKNB announced attempts to discredit the special services

The committee emphasized its diligent activities in the interests of the country and its citizens

The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) reported attempts to discredit its bodies by certain interested groups. The committee's press center issued a corresponding statement.

In light of recent events related to the resignation of the head of the GKNB, there are active efforts by certain forces in the media landscape attempting to undermine the reputation of the national security bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic. The statements and interpretations being disseminated are one-sided and aimed at destroying citizens' trust in state institutions. Employees of these bodies are subordinate to the Supreme Commander of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The activities of national security services are carried out strictly in accordance with the Constitution and legislation of the country, based on the principles of legality, objectivity, and accountability to society. The main task of the agency is to ensure the security of the state, as well as to protect the rights and freedoms of citizens, and to prevent terrorism, extremism, and corruption.

The GKNB is confident that any doubts and discussions should be conducted within the legal framework, based on facts and verified information. Attempts to harm the reputation of state structures without providing justification negatively affect both the specific agency and the overall level of trust in society.

Representatives of the public, media, and high-ranking officials are urged to refrain from harsh criticism of GKNB employees, as they diligently and responsibly fulfill their duties.

The GKNB assured that work to ensure the security of the country will continue consistently and in the interests of the people and the state.
