Autism is an important issue in the fields of medicine and education
On February 21, an international practical conference titled "ABA of the 21st Century: Life Skills, Individuality, Values" will take place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. This event will focus on autism spectrum disorders (ASD), new approaches to intervention, family support, and the creation of an inclusive society.
The relevance of the topic of autism in the modern world is beyond doubt. According to international research data, the number of children with ASD continues to rise, making issues of early detection and social adaptation particularly important. Currently, there is no statistical data on early autism diagnosis in Kyrgyzstan; however, practical experience shows that the dynamics in this area are quite high. Special attention will be given to interdisciplinary collaboration and practical exchange on ABA therapy, including the development of life skills and consideration of the cultural values of families.
In Bishkek, there are about 50 educational and developmental centers working with children who have developmental delays. The conference aims to unite the efforts of all specialists to provide quality assistance to children with ASD.
Professionals such as ABA specialists, educators, doctors, speech therapists, defectologists, and managers of children's centers will be able to gain valuable insights for their work based on scientifically grounded methods.
Leading specialists from various countries, including experts from Russia, are invited to participate in the event. The headliner of the conference will be Daria Li-Romanova, a clinical psychologist and supervisor from Hong Kong, who has extensive experience in this field.
National experts with significant experience working with children with special needs will also be featured at the conference.
The format of the event includes presentations, panel discussions, and discussions on current issues faced by families and specialists. The organizers have launched a charitable campaign allowing parents of children with ASD to participate in the conference for free.
