According to the National Statistical Committee, there was a significant increase in tourist activity among citizens of Uzbekistan in January 2026 — nearly 590,000 people traveled abroad, which is 6.9% more than in the same month last year.
This month, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the undisputed leader: over 232,000 Uzbeks visited this country.
Also in the top three most visited countries were Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, which welcomed 98,600 and 88,000 Uzbeks, respectively. Convenient transport links, family ties, and active cross-border trade contribute to the popularity of these destinations.
Among countries far beyond the CIS, the largest number of Uzbeks headed to Saudi Arabia — over 62,600 people. Russia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates continue to remain among the key destinations. Closing the top ten most popular countries are Thailand, China, and Egypt.
