In her address, the woman noted that the mistake regarding the kinship of the second participant in the accident with representatives of the authorities was made under emotional pressure. At the time of the incident, she was in a state of panic caused by her daughter's condition and, likely, confused people.
“At that moment, I saw a person resembling the deputy of the Bishkek City Kenesh, Kazybek Ergeshov, and made unfounded assumptions,” she indicated in her statement.
Nazarbaeva apologized to Kazybek Ergeshov and other mentioned individuals, emphasizing that her words were not aimed at discrediting them.
Nevertheless, she continues to demand an objective investigation into this incident. In particular, she insists on checking the operation of surveillance cameras at the time of the accident and on a legal assessment of the actions of the traffic police officers, who, according to her, did not timely call for an ambulance.
Circumstances of the Traffic Accident
Earlier, deputy Seidbek Atambaev reported that he was approached by the mother of the injured party, requesting him to take control of the investigation into the traffic accident that occurred on the morning of February 23 at the intersection of 7 April and Ablesov streets.According to him, a Honda Fit was entering the road when it was struck at high speed by a Lexus, driven by an 18-year-old girl. Atambaev also spoke about possible attempts to pressure the investigation and conceal evidence.
Additionally, the address claimed that the second participant in the accident is allegedly a relative of the akim of the Alamudun district and a deputy of the Bishkek City Kenesh.
Reactions of the Participants
Deputy of the Bishkek City Kenesh Kazybek Ergeshov denied any connection between his family and this traffic accident.He stated that he does not have an 18-year-old daughter and that he knows nothing about the incident that occurred. Ergeshov also expressed his intention to demand a refutation of the rumors spread.
Position of Law Enforcement Agencies
According to the data from the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, the traffic accident occurred on February 23 at around 09:50 in the village of Koy-Tash in the Alamudun district. It is noted that a Lexus RX-350, driven by a 2006-born driver, collided with a Honda Fit, which was driven by a 2001-born individual. Both drivers were sober.As a result of the accident, both vehicles sustained mechanical damage. The driver of the Honda Fit was hospitalized, while the second participant received medical assistance.
Forensic, automotive, and other examinations have been appointed to help provide a legal assessment of what happened.
