On February 27, 2026, the National Brand Competition "One Village - One Product" (OVOP) took place in Bishkek. This event marked an important stage for assessing the achievements of regions and showcasing the best products produced under this initiative.
According to the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, products from all regions of the country were represented at the competition. A total of 57 product names participated in the competition, each of which was pre-selected at the regional level. All exhibited products underwent thorough evaluation in branding and received regional brand certificates confirming their quality, uniqueness, and competitiveness.
The key award of the competition was the presentation of gold, silver, and bronze medals for the best OVOP products.
Based on the evaluation results, the prize places were distributed as follows:
Gold medal — "Dan Kurai Concentrates," produced by Nurgül Isakova from Batken region.
Silver medal — "Miste Pechenesi," produced by Aliyarova Gülchehra from Jalal-Abad region.
Bronze medal — "Khurma Chipsileri," produced by Oktamova Saidakhon.
Additionally, 19 products from the OVOP project were awarded special prizes in several nominations:
- • "Best Category";
• "Best Regional Product";
• "Most Active Region".
Reference Information
The OVOP project is a large-scale initiative covering all seven regions of Kyrgyzstan since 2017. Since 2023, the project has become international, expanding to neighboring countries such as Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Its main goal is to develop local production, support entrepreneurs in the regions, improve product quality, and promote domestic brands in both domestic and international markets.
For several years, products presented under the OVOP project have been successfully exported to Japan, European countries, the United Arab Emirates, the USA, and other states.
