According to information from the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund (FOMS), persistent weakness, increased drowsiness, and dizziness may indicate a decrease in hemoglobin levels, which points to the presence of anemia. It is important to conduct timely diagnostics to avoid serious health consequences.
The agency reports that every citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic has the right to receive a basic package of medical services, even if they do not have insurance status. This package includes 12 types of medical assistance, among which is a complete blood count to determine hemoglobin levels.
To undergo examination without payment, one must be registered at the Family Medicine Center (FMC) or the General Practice Center (GPC), and also visit a family doctor to obtain a referral for laboratory testing. If these conditions are met, the analysis will be conducted free of charge.
FOMS also emphasizes that having a mandatory health insurance policy significantly increases access to medical services. Insured citizens can take advantage of more than 40 additional types of laboratory tests, including biochemical and hormonal analyses, as well as receive discounted medications with up to a 50% discount, instrumental studies, ultrasound, X-rays, and other services under the State Guarantee Program.
If a patient encounters a refusal for a free analysis or has questions about obtaining a preferential prescription, they can contact the FOMS hotline at 113. The call is free, and specialists will help check the insurance status and explain how to obtain a mandatory health insurance policy.
