Representatives from various government agencies attended the meeting, including the Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Agency for Religious Affairs, as well as civil aviation, airlines, and travel companies.
Mufti Abdulaziz Zakirov emphasized the current international situation and potential threats to the safety of Kyrgyz citizens. Participants discussed measures to ensure the safety of those planning trips to Saudi Arabia, as well as issues related to the return of Kyrgyz citizens who remained there after the completion of the minor pilgrimage.
As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to impose a temporary restriction on the departure of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic for performing Umrah until the situation stabilizes.
Additionally, participants recommended that travel companies and airlines suspend the organization of trips for Umrah until the situation normalizes.
Efforts have also begun to restore flights for airlines Jazeera, Flynas, and Air Arabia, which were previously suspended due to the current situation.
It is worth noting that Kyrgyzstan has already started evacuating its citizens from the Middle East. Two special flights have been organized, bringing 260 citizens back to their homeland.
