On March 9 of this year, during an analysis of social networks, it was revealed that publications criticizing the actions of government agencies and aimed at undermining the authority of the government, as well as escalating the socio-political situation, were being disseminated through an account under the name "Daniel Jooshbaev" on the "Facebook" platform. This information was confirmed by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The investigation established that the comments on several posts from this account contained messages capable of causing destabilization of public order and mass riots.
In connection with these facts, a criminal case was initiated under Article 278 "Calls for Mass Riots" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational-search activities, the identity of the owner of the mentioned fake account was established, and the journalist A.A., born in 1976, was detained.
Expert examinations were appointed for the publications made by the suspect through the fake profile.
On March 10, as a result of a search in A.A.'s apartment, mobile phones, tablets, a laptop, a video camera, documents, and other items were seized.
On March 11, the suspect was placed in the temporary detention center of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek.
