A criminal case has been initiated regarding corruption in 'Kyrgyzneftegaz'

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has initiated a criminal case on suspicion of corrupt actions related to the activities of the company "Kyrgyzneftegaz." This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Recently, media outlets released video materials of an investigation prepared by the State Tax Service, titled "Oil for Themselves: How 'Kyrgyzneftegaz' Was Ruined."

According to the presented data, employees of "Kyrgyzneftegaz," abusing their official position, in collaboration with affiliated companies, developed illegal schemes for the sale and distribution of petroleum products (PP). Officials, understanding that "Kyrgyzneftegaz" is a strategically important state enterprise, acted contrary to their duties, instead of ensuring effective management of the company in the interests of the state and citizens.

Against the backdrop of rising prices for petroleum products in the country, instead of taking measures to stabilize the situation, they colluded with unidentified representatives of state bodies overseeing this area. This led to the creation of conditions that facilitated the activities of certain affiliated companies, allowing them to derive illegal profits, including through tax evasion and other mandatory payments.

In connection with the above, the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under Article 336 "Corruption" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Currently, necessary investigative measures are being conducted with the involvement of specialists from the State Tax Service to thoroughly and objectively examine all circumstances of the case, as well as to identify and hold accountable those responsible.
