Recent video materials released by the State Tax Service reveal details of an investigation titled "Oil for Themselves: How Kyrgyzneftegaz Was Ruined." These materials contain information about possible unlawful actions by employees of OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz."
According to available data, company employees, using their authority, in collaboration with affiliated companies, created illegal schemes for the sale of petroleum products (PP), reports the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
As a result of the conducted inspection, it was established that officials, being aware of the status of OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz" as a strategic facility fully owned by the state, acted contrary to their duties to ensure its effective functioning in the interests of society.
Instead of taking measures to stabilize the situation against the backdrop of rising prices for petroleum products, they colluded with unidentified representatives of state bodies overseeing this area. This led to the creation of conditions that facilitated the illegal enrichment of certain companies, including tax evasion and other mandatory payments.
The investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case classified under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning corruption.
As part of the current investigation, which involves specialists from the State Tax Service, necessary investigative actions are being conducted aimed at thoroughly and objectively clarifying all circumstances of the case, as well as identifying and holding accountable those responsible for criminal liability.
