According to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution No. 126, this agreement aims to strengthen and develop educational ties between the two countries in accordance with their national legislations.
The cooperation covers the following areas:
- support for establishing connections and cooperation between higher educational institutions;
- exchange of educational practices and information about the structure of educational systems;
- training of students at the bachelor's, master's, doctoral levels, and language internships;
- mutual information about international events, such as symposiums, congresses, and conferences, as well as the exchange of scientific papers presented at these events.
Each party will annually exchange up to ten students on a reciprocal basis for study in bachelor's and master's programs.The conditions and duration of study will be regulated by the existing laws of the host country.
The host party commits to notify the sending party in writing:
- about the possibility and conditions for admitting students by February 28 of each year;
- about the completion of admissions, the names of educational institutions, and the duration of studies by June 30 of the current year.
Students have the right to undergo a year of language training at institutions designated by the host party before starting their main studies to acquire the necessary language skills.
The host party provides students with:
- free education, including language courses, access to study facilities, libraries, and educational materials;
- a monthly scholarship determined in accordance with the legislation of the host country based on academic performance;
- access to dormitories for foreign students on the same terms as for local students.
The parties agree not to hinder the individual admission of citizens from the other country to educational institutions according to their admission rules.
