In Kyrgyzstan, preparatory activities for the irrigation (vegetation) season are actively ongoing. The Main Department of Water Management of the Osh region is carrying out a number of significant actions aimed at optimizing irrigation systems and improving water supply accounting. This information was announced by the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan.
It is reported that three repair teams, formed from employees of the Kurshab operational hydrosection, are conducting major repairs of hydroposts located on the drainage systems C-1, C-1-2, and K-3, which receive resources from the Otuz-Adyr canal. These works are intended to ensure effective water distribution during the irrigation season and accurate control over its use.
During the major repairs, the hydroposts will be equipped with modern automatic ultrasonic devices for measuring water levels. This will allow real-time monitoring of water levels, ensuring accurate accounting of irrigation water supply and more rational use of water resources.
In addition, restoration work is also being carried out on the internal canals "Osh KSB" and "Alai-ditch," which are now under the management's balance. Improving the condition of these canals will provide farmers and agricultural producers in the region with the necessary irrigation water,” the message added.
