At a round table dedicated to this topic, Talantbek Tolobekov, the director of the Cinematography Department of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, announced new initiatives in the field of children's content.
He reported that an advisory body has been established within the department to address the issues of developing children's content. The formation of a pool of 10-20 animation projects per year and the launch of about 20 short series are planned.

Tolobekov emphasized the importance of implementing modern formats, including vertical series, noting that it is necessary to keep up with the times.
In addition, in May, the first Day of Children's and Family Cinema of the Kyrgyz Republic will be held in the country.
There are also plans to create animated films based on the plots of the children's magazine "Baichichekey".
In 2026, a historically high level of funding—65 million soms—is allocated for the development of children's animation.
The financial resources will be distributed through "Kyrgyzfilm" on a competitive basis among production companies.
According to the department, there are about 60-70 private studios operating in Kyrgyzstan that are actively engaged in content production. They have the opportunity to participate in the creation of children's films and series if they present quality ideas and concepts.
Animation projects will be produced in both Kyrgyz and Russian languages. Transparency and openness in the distribution of funding will be ensured with the participation of the expert community.
Talantbek Tolobekov added that specialists from Korea and other countries are currently being attracted for the development of animation in the country.
