Against the backdrop of recent agreements signed between Kyrgyzstan and Germany, the process of obtaining visas for citizens of Kyrgyzstan is becoming more accessible. This was reported by Omurbek Tekebaev, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Germany, during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee.
Tekebaev noted that since 2022, four significant agreements and 24 memoranda of cooperation have been concluded between the two countries. "Germany is beginning to reconsider its visa issuance policy for citizens of our country, which has become possible thanks to active diplomatic meetings and the agreements reached," he added.
The ambassador also announced plans for one of the largest global certification companies, Intertek Germany, to enter the Kyrgyz market. This company is ready to offer subsidized certification services for local farmers. If the Kyrgyz government allocates one million dollars, the services will be provided free of charge. "International certification is extremely important for the export of our products," emphasized Tekebaev.
Additionally, he spoke about the development of business relations: last year, 100 Kyrgyz companies participated in a business forum organized by the German Chamber of Commerce in Berlin. The next business forum is scheduled for April this year, where the participation of 35 domestic companies is expected.
