The club "Toktogul," representing Kyrgyzstan, has signed an agreement with Solomon Kverkvelia, who is considered one of the outstanding footballers from Georgia in recent years. This information was posted on the club's official social media pages.
According to the club's statement, the contract with the 33-year-old defender is for a duration of two years, and Kverkvelia has already arrived in Bishkek to begin his duties.
Solomon Kverkvelia, who has become the most decorated footballer in the history of Kyrgyz football, previously played for Moscow's "Lokomotiv," where he won a championship title, two Cups, and one Super Cup of Russia, as well as the Russian Cup with Kazan's "Rubin." He has been named the best player in Georgia twice — in 2014 and 2017 — and represented his country at EURO 2024.
Interestingly, at the peak of his career in 2019, Kverkvelia's value reached 10 million euros, making him the most expensive footballer in the history of Kyrgyz football. Currently, his market price is 250,000 euros.
The club "Toktogul" will compete in the top division of the Kyrgyzstan championship for the first time in its history. The head coach of the team is Ukrainian specialist Sergey Puchkov, who previously worked with "Muras United."
