The fine was imposed for incidents that occurred during the cup match against the team "Krasnodar," which took place on March 4.

“After reviewing all the materials and analyzing them, we concluded that during the match there were two instances of racist chants from CSKA fans. There were about seven to eight people in the sector who could chant such words. This did not involve the entire stand and was not a widespread phenomenon. Nevertheless, such actions violate the regulations. In this regard, we decided to impose a fine of 1 million rubles on CSKA for the actions of spectators that demean a person's dignity based on racial characteristics,” the committee's decision stated.

Previously, CSKA fans were accused of racism, and the team's players noted that the racist chants were directed at the dark-skinned Colombian forward John Cordoba.
