“Jakshylyk is no longer an interim champion. Currently, the number one contender in the welterweight division is Albert Tumenov,” Bibulatov noted at a press conference.
It is worth noting that Myrzabekov won the interim title in the welterweight division at the ACA 197 tournament, which took place in Moscow in December 2025. A unification bout with Abubakar Vagaev, the reigning champion from Russia, was expected in the spring of 2026; however, the Russian signed a contract with the UFC and vacated the title.
