According to the organization's statement, the presence of the SRY gene will be considered a sign that the athlete has undergone male sexual development. Testing can use saliva or blood samples, which is less invasive compared to other methods.
If an athlete tests negative, they will be allowed to compete in women's events for life. Retesting will not be necessary unless there are doubts about the accuracy of the result.
There are some exceptions, such as for athletes with complete androgen insensitivity syndrome.
Athletes who test positive will be able to compete in other categories: men's, mixed (but only as men), and those where gender does not matter.Illustration on the main page: sports.ru.
