The territorial electoral commissions have annulled the voting results at some polling stations in districts No. 8, 9, and 26, which may affect the final results of the elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh. This was reported by Dairbek Orunbekov, head of the press service of the President's Administration.

He emphasized that the authorities insist on the necessity of conducting fair elections, urging candidates not to resort to vote buying and voters not to sell their votes. Orunbekov also noted that if violations are detected, the voting results at the corresponding polling stations will be annulled.

“Despite these warnings, numerous violations were recorded during the elections, including in district No. 13, where the voting results were annulled due to mass violations, and a repeat vote was scheduled. Three candidates who received a significant number of votes were disqualified. According to the decision of the Central Electoral Commission, they will not be able to participate in the next elections,” he added.

Orunbekov also reported violations in other regions. Videos evidencing unlawful actions appeared on social media the day after the elections. One video, filmed at polling station No. 5249 in district No. 8, caused a wide public outcry as it showed people being handed money.

This behavior provoked dissatisfaction among citizens, who questioned: “How can we talk about fair elections if votes are being bought in bulk?” As a result, the Territorial Electoral Commission decided to annul the voting results at polling stations No. 5249 and No. 5514 in district No. 8.

Orunbekov also noted that based on the complaints received, the voting results at polling stations No. 7030, No. 7029, and No. 7028 in district No. 26 were annulled. In district No. 9, the results at polling stations No. 5039, No. 5050, No. 5054, No. 5577, No. 5040, No. 5041, and No. 5548 were annulled, where mass violations, vote buying, and pressure on voters also occurred.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs has registered materials on all facts of violations and is conducting appropriate checks. Each case will be given a legal assessment. In addition to the video recordings, other materials regarding violations have been received. The annulment of voting results at some polling stations may affect the overall election results. In such a situation, attempts may arise to politicize the events, playing on the emotions of voters. However, it is important to note that no one will remain indifferent to violations that contradict the principles of fair elections. The authorities will not make distinctions between ‘their own’ and ‘others’; if a violation is proven, no one will receive leniency,” he emphasized.

According to the voting results in district No. 8, the leaders are Janarbek Akaev, Ulan Primov, and Zhyldyzkan Zholdoshova. In district No. 9, the top positions are held by Azamzhan Jalilov, Daniyar Tolonov, and Yrgal Kadyralieva. In district No. 26, the leaders are Mederbek Sakkaraev, Erkinbek Isenaliev, and Jamila Isaeva.
