Eldar Abakirov, who has put forward his candidacy for the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh, announced his intention to appeal to the Central Election Commission with a request to annul the results of the elections at several polling stations in district No. 26.

According to him, he was invited to a working group of the CEC, where his statement regarding vote buying in the village of Kalmak-Ashuu in the Kemin district of the Chui region was discussed. Videos appeared on social media showing 5-6 people distributing 460,000 soms.

At the meeting of the working group, Abakirov reported that law enforcement agencies had begun an investigation based on his statement. The CEC received information from Nurlan Sharshenaliyev, who took responsibility for distributing the money but did not specify on behalf of which candidate this was done, claiming that he acted independently. "This is absurd! 460,000 soms is a significant amount, not just small change of 5-10 thousand!" Abakirov exclaimed.

Additionally, he learned that the territorial election commission intends to annul the results at four polling stations, including Kalmak-Ashuu and three other nearby polling stations.

Abakirov expressed dissatisfaction with this decision, noting: "Why should all candidates suffer when someone breaks the law? This is wrong and illegal."

He hopes that law enforcement agencies will be able to identify those truly guilty of vote buying and that the CEC will reconsider the TIK's decision to annul the results at the specified polling stations.
