According to the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek, the investigative bodies of the Sverdlovsk District Internal Affairs Department have initiated a criminal case under Article 196 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the bribery of voters.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the organization of the bribery was carried out by the official campaigner for the candidate for the Jogorku Kenesh, H.G. In particular, this was campaigner F.K., born in 1982, and her son F.M., born in 2003, as well as a member of the house committee of the East-5 microdistrict, H.A., born in 1964.
According to the Main Internal Affairs Department, in early November, a man named "A" offered F.K. a job as a campaigner with monetary compensation. On November 9, they signed contracts at the candidate's headquarters on Lenin Avenue and received 20,000 soms each. These funds were used to compile a list of 12 voters, to whom 2,000 soms were paid for each vote.
As a result of searches in F.K.'s apartment, 80,000 dollars, 116,000 soms, and 29,500 soms received from the headquarters were found, as well as lists of voters from the East-5 microdistrict.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to identify other participants in the crime.
A petition has been sent to the Central Election Commission to hold the candidate for the Jogorku Kenesh, G.H., criminally liable.
The police are calling on all election participants to comply with the law, avoid provocations, and not involve citizens in illegal schemes.
