The Deputy Prime Minister discussed reforms in the education sector
A nationwide pedagogical council was held in Bishkek.
At this event, Edil Baisalov, the Deputy Prime Minister, shared information about school reforms in Kyrgyzstan, including the transition to a 12-year education system.
He noted that changes in the education system will impact the country's development over the next 20-30 years.
“The children who are currently in the 1st and 2nd grades are representatives of the 'Altyn Kazyq' generation — the Polar Star generation. They will become the future leaders of Kyrgyzstan and lead the country to prosperity and cultural revival,” emphasized Baisalov.
The official also pointed out that the teacher remains a key figure in the educational process and is the one who implements state initiatives. In addition to the 12-year education system, important areas of reform include the digitization of educational institutions, the development of extracurricular education, and strengthening the role of the state language, history, and geography.
