Edil Baisalov Discussed the Need for Funding Adaptation Programs for Mountain Countries

At the climate summit taking place in Belém, the Federative Republic of Brazil, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Edil Baisalov, spoke at a thematic session titled "Ten Years of the Paris Agreement: National Contributions and Financing."

In his speech, he emphasized that the updated Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 3.0) of Kyrgyzstan aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 18% by 2030, with the possibility of increasing this to 30% with the support of the international community, as well as achieving carbon neutrality by mid-century.

Additionally, during the summit, Edil Baisalov held several bilateral meetings and negotiations with high-profile representatives from various governments and international organizations.
