The Deputy Prime Minister proposed to attract new employees, not necessarily with a pedagogical education
Edil Baisalov, who serves as the Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, shared his thoughts on ways to improve school education in the country in an interview with the new television channel "Nomad."
He noted that it is necessary to replace some of the current teachers with new specialists who do not necessarily need to have a pedagogical education.
“I instructed the Minister of Education to conduct an assessment and evaluation of teachers. We need to identify 15-20% of excess educators and dismiss them. Then we can attract new people from the street, not necessarily with teaching experience, offering them a decent salary of 50-60 thousand soms. There are two-week training courses or six-month distance programs — I am confident that we can turn them into excellent teachers. As for the unnecessary educators, we will be dismissing them,” he emphasized.
