The customs services of the EAEU countries discussed the possibility of reducing border inspection time to 10 minutes at their meeting in St. Petersburg. This issue became one of the key topics at the meeting of the unified board of customs authorities.
High-ranking representatives of the customs services of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia participated in the meeting.

While discussing the results of the current year's work, the participants also approved plans for the future. A total of 26 issues were considered, among which the key proposal was to reduce the time for control procedures to 10 minutes, in line with the directive from Russian President Vladimir Putin. To achieve this goal, they intend to implement a concept of automating state control based on pre-provided electronic information.

Another important topic of the meeting was the improvement of the risk management system, necessary for ensuring the economic security of the EAEU and creating conditions for fair business practices. Decisions were made regarding the enhancement of customs control efficiency, primarily in the areas of customs value assessment and transit. The principles of interaction between working groups on classification and risks were also agreed upon.

Additionally, special attention was given to the unification of goods classification. Specific product items were discussed, including mineral concentrate, devices for measuring blood pressure, and receivers for pneumatic systems of various vehicles. This is crucial for maintaining the unity of law enforcement practices, as noted in the press release.

In light of the growth in electronic commerce, a decision was made to continue exchanging experiences in customs control using non-intrusive inspection equipment.
