However, there are key conditions
At a recent meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the EAEU in Moscow, a decision was made to provide benefits for the import of electric vehicles to three countries: Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, and Armenia.
Representatives of the governments of the EAEU member states agreed on measures that include exemption from customs duties.
These benefits apply to "pure" electric vehicles (code 8703 80 000 3 of the EAEU Customs Tariff), which will be imported into Belarus in the volume of 20,000 units. Benefits are also provided for "plug-in hybrids" (code 8703 80 000 5 of the EAEU Customs Tariff), which will be allowed to be imported into Armenia and Kyrgyzstan — 15,000 cars for each country.
It is important to note that the benefits apply exclusively to citizens of these countries who permanently reside in their homeland. The transfer of rights to electric vehicles to citizens of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus (in relation to hybrids) is not permitted.
