The selection was conducted by a commission that included representatives from government structures, industry associations, and civil society organizations. The approved list of winners was agreed upon by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), which acts as the project donor.
As part of the project, a specialized company is expected to be engaged to develop project and estimate documentation for future nurseries. It is anticipated that the updated nurseries will begin operating by the end of next year.
According to the project documentation, the new nurseries will be capable of producing up to 2 million seedlings of various tree species per year, including nuts, fruit and berry crops, as well as ornamental plants. The produced goods will be directed to forestry enterprises and other interested organizations.
