Some participants in the event raised the issue of state support for citizens wishing to purchase housing. They noted that the prices of apartments from the State Mortgage Company are comparable to those of private developers, despite the fact that the State Investment Corporation receives land plots free of charge.
However, the president disagreed with this viewpoint. According to him, the cost of housing from the State Investment Corporation is significantly lower than that of private construction organizations. He also cited the prices of apartments in the southern part of the city as an example.
“In the upper part of the city, beyond the Southern Highway, elite houses are being built. Previously, these lands, with a total area of 50 to 100 hectares, were privately owned. Now they have been returned to the state, and houses are being constructed under the state mortgage program. The price per square meter is 1,400 dollars. These apartments are available for civil servants, migrants, and other citizens who have the means to purchase them. This area is considered prestigious, and the houses are built using quality materials,” the president explained.
Additionally, a number of private companies are also constructing in this area, where the price per square meter reaches 2,000 dollars, and owners must handle renovations themselves. In contrast, we offer ready-to-move-in apartments at 1,400 dollars per square meter thanks to the state program and free land plots,” he added.
