The Deputy Prime Minister reminded about the insurance mechanism in the agricultural sector
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev reported that the current republican budget does not allocate funds for compensating farmers in the event of natural disasters or crop failures.
Deputy Aisarakhan Abdibaeva raised this issue, pointing out that the country's budget is formed with a positive balance, and suggested allocating payments for affected farmers.
Amangeldiev responded that there is a state insurance company where farmers can insure their lands and crops against risks.
He noted that agriculture is a business, and if the state starts compensating losses to farmers, similar measures would have to be provided for all other sectors of the economy.
