The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has posted for public discussion a draft resolution regarding a temporary ban on the export of agricultural animals outside the country. The proposal includes a restriction on the export of cattle, sheep, goats, and horses for a period of six months.

This measure is aimed at ensuring food security and stabilizing prices for meat and livestock products. The draft states that such actions comply with the norms of the Eurasian Economic Union and the constitutional law on the Cabinet of Ministers.

The ban will not apply to the following categories:

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce must notify the Committee on Safeguard Measures of the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must inform the Executive Committee of the CIS.

Additionally, it is proposed to annul a similar ban that has been in effect since August 2025.

The resolution will come into force upon its official publication.
