The strategic location of Kyrgyzstan opens up opportunities to transform the country into an important regional center for financial, trade, and logistics flows. This is reflected in the Republic's Development Program until 2030.

With the increase in e-commerce volumes and the necessity for diversifying transport routes, this path is becoming increasingly relevant. The authorities have set ambitious goals for realizing this potential.

Main objectives on the way to achieving the envisioned:

Priority projects and activities

The government pays special attention to the modernization of road infrastructure, including the design and improvement of the north-south route, as well as the use of modern materials to enhance the durability of road surfaces.

In the field of rail transport, key projects remain "China - Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan," as well as the complete electrification of railways and the renewal of rolling stock.

Significant changes are also expected in urban transport.

As part of the program, there are plans to transition to environmentally friendly electric buses, create a network of charging stations, and develop convenient pedestrian infrastructure with bike paths. In cities of republican significance, priority will be given to public transport.

As for civil aviation, the focus will be on expanding routes, modernizing airports, and developing general aviation. To enhance the efficiency of transportation, international operators will be attracted to Kyrgyzstan, and intelligent transport systems will be implemented.

Simplifying customs procedures and developing transport corridors in the directions of China, Iran, Pakistan, and Russia will help strengthen the country's position in the regional economy.
