In 2025, the volume of transactions in the virtual assets market increased threefold compared to the previous year. While in 2022, when the legal sector was just beginning to develop, the turnover was only $8 million.
The total number of transactions in the country exceeded 2.1 million.
The data indicates significant growth in virtual assets and an increase in user interest in operations with digital money.

The cryptocurrency market in Kyrgyzstan can be characterized as a huge "digital exchange," where individuals and companies exchange soms for cryptocurrency and back for quick payments. More than 94% of the total turnover, amounting to approximately $29.5 billion, comes from such exchange operations.
The remaining 6% (approximately $1.8 billion) pertains to cryptocurrency exchanges, where professional traders conduct transactions by placing orders and analyzing charts.
Therefore, in 2025, the use of cryptocurrency in Kyrgyzstan primarily served as a convenient tool for currency exchange rather than for complex trading operations on the exchange.
