Armenia is on the verge of a significant increase in foreign investments from the United States, which could exceed $13 billion, roughly equivalent to half of the country's annual gross domestic product. This was reported by Bloomberg.

According to the information, such investments could help Armenia reduce its economic dependence on Russia.

The emergence of this opportunity resulted from the visit of U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance to Yerevan, during which a cooperation agreement in the field of civil nuclear energy was signed for up to $9 billion. An additional project in the field of artificial intelligence, which could bring in another $4 billion, is also being considered.

The chief economist of ING for the CIS, Dmitry Dolgin, noted that such initiatives could enhance Armenia's attractiveness to foreign investors and increase the volume of remittances to the country.
