Kyrgyzstan Remains a Leader in New Car Exports to Russia

As of the end of February 2026, Kyrgyzstan continues to hold leading positions in the export of new cars to Russia. This information was provided by Sergey Tselikov, head of the analytical agency "Autostat."

According to his data, the import of passenger cars in Russia increased by 35 percent compared to the previous year.

In February of this year, 46.8 thousand passenger cars were imported into Russia, which is 35 percent more than in the same month of 2025, when 35 thousand cars were imported.

At the same time, the import of new passenger cars (up to three years old) increased by 29 percent, totaling 20.9 thousand units, while the volume of imports of used cars (older than three years) rose by 40 percent, reaching 25.9 thousand.

Sergey Tselikov noted that in terms of new car export volumes, China leads (67.2 percent) followed by Kyrgyzstan (20.5 percent).

Earlier, the agency "Autostat" reported that in 2025, Kyrgyzstan ranked first among the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in the import of new passenger cars to Russia, with a total volume of 53.6 thousand units.
