How the modernization of the "Torugart - Road" checkpoint is progressing (before and after photos)

At the "Torugart - Road" checkpoint, an electronic queue system for trucks has been implemented, addressing the issue of significant queues at the border, which sometimes reached 25 km in length. This created a burden on the road network and negatively impacted the ecology in the area of Lake Chatyr-Kul. Representatives from the State Border Service, the State Customs Infrastructure JSC, and the GTS are involved in the implementation process, monitoring the progress of the modernization.

The electronic queue system allows for the advance registration of cargo vehicles and the formation of a transparent order for their movement. Vehicles will wait in a specially designated area "Kara-Bulak" and will be directed to the checkpoint in stages according to an established electronic schedule. This system provides the following advantages:

elimination of vehicle congestion directly at the checkpoint;
reduction of the load on access roads;
even distribution of the flow of cargo trucks;
increased transparency and predictability of the border crossing process.

Furthermore, modernization work continues at the checkpoint, including the construction of an inspection and monitoring complex, updating administrative buildings, and expanding the territory of the checkpoint.
